No power supply, no internet connection, no waiting: Arclap's self-sufficient solar construction camera works from day one – even where your site has no infrastructure yet. A solar panel and high-capacity battery provide the energy; 4G/LTE streams live view and AI timelapse straight into the Arclap platform. Shipped configured, live the day it arrives.
Why self-sufficient?
- Ready immediately: documenting from excavation, before site power exists.
- No site power needed: solar panel + battery buffer, sized for Swiss winters.
- No internet needed: dedicated 4G/LTE with Swiss SIM – no WiFi, no network drop.
- Mobile: repositioned in minutes as the build progresses.
- Full platform: AI timelapse, automated documentation and 24/7 security monitoring, identical to fixed installations.
Tech overview
- Solar panel with multi-day battery buffer
- Encrypted 4G/LTE on Swiss networks, Swiss-hosted
- Weatherproof housing rated for alpine winters
- Mounts to mast, container, crane or mobile tripod
- Remotely maintained by Arclap
Typical deployments
Civil engineering and infrastructure without grid access, early phases before site power, remote locations (energy and alpine projects), temporary yards, and large sites with changing viewpoints.
Rent or buy
Available monthly or as a purchase – like every Arclap system with installation, SIM, hosting and support from one partner. Configure your setup in 2 minutes in the configurator and request an offer.
Does it really run without any power?
Yes – solar panel plus battery power the system entirely; a grid connection is not required.
Does the camera need internet or WiFi?
No. It uses its own 4G/LTE link with a Swiss SIM, independent of site IT.
Is Swiss winter sun enough?
The system is sized for weak winter sun; the battery bridges several days without direct sunlight.
Can it be moved during the project?
Yes, the mobile setup is operational at a new spot within minutes.
What does it cost?
Monthly rental incl. SIM, hosting and support; purchase on request – see pricing or the configurator.
Self-Sufficient Surveillance for Sites Without Power
Where there is neither mains power nor internet, autonomous systems take over site surveillance: security stations with a solar kit and 4G/5G detect people and vehicles by AI and report events live — optionally escalated to the alarm centre. For open ground and changing locations, the mobile video tower with solar option is added: delivered, positioned and collected again at the end of the project.
